چکیده
Phenylalanine Ammonia-Lyase, Protein Metabolism, Regulation, /ra/js-Cinnamic Acid, Daucus carota, Suspension Culture In vivo and in vitro experiments were performed in order to study the regulatory role of transcinnamic acid and its hydroxylated derivatives (p-coumaric acid, caffeic acid) on the deamina tion of phenylalanine catalyzed by PAL (EC 4.3.1.5). 7>arts-cinnamic acid inhibits growth and reduces the content of soluble proteins of anthocyanin-containing carrot cells grown in suspen sion. There is strong evidence from the polysomal patterns and from the effect of ?ra«5-cinnamic acid on protein synthesis in vitro that protein synthesis is inhibited. The kinetic data of PAL clearly demonstrate that /ra«s-cinnamic acid inhibits the enzyme by a noncompetitive mecha nism. On the contrary, L-a-aminooxy-/?-phenylpropionic acid (l-AOPP), a competitive inhibitor of PAL, does not affect protein metabolism.

Phenylalanine amonia-lyase (PAL) is one of the most important enzymes that plays a key role in regulationof phenylpropanoid production in plants. It catalyzes the first step of the phenylpropanoid pathway in whichL-phenylalanine is deaminated to trans-cinnamic acid. This step is significant for metabolic engineering andhyper-expression of the major phenylpropanoid, methyl chav...

Subfractionation of Microsomes, Cell Suspension Culture, PAL, Cinnamic Acid p-Hydroxylase 1. The time course of activity of soluble and microsomal phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) was studied in dark grown cell cultures of soybean (Glycine max). A distinct activity increase of PAL in the soluble and microsomal fraction occurred prior to the stationary phase of the cell culture. Cinnamic acid p...

3H-l-Phenylalanine is incorporated into a range of phenylpropanoid compounds when fed to tobacco cell cultures. A significant proportion of (3)H-trans-cinnamic acid formed from (3)H-l-phenylalanine did not equilibrate with exogenous trans-cinnamic acid and therefore may be rapidly channeled through the cinnamate 4-hydroxylase (C4H) reaction to 4-coumaric acid. Such compartmentalization of trans...

The use of salt tolerant plants in arid and semi-arid regions of the world, including Iran, is one of the ways to achieve high yields. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of different salinity treatments in hydroponic culture on physiological characteristics, phenylalanine-ammonialyase (PAL) activity and also the small amount of flavonoid compounds kaepmferol and quercetin in fi...
متن کاملImpact of Salicylic Acid on Phenolic Metabolism and Antioxidant Activity in Four Grape Cultivars during Cold Storage
Salicylic acid (SA) plays an important role in the regulation of plant ripening and responses to abiotic stresses. In this study, the protective effect of SA on cold stress-caused oxidative damage in grape (Vitis vinifera L.) bunches was investigated during cold storage. Grape bunches treated with 2 mM SA and stored at 0°C with 85-90% RH for 30 days. Samples were selected from each treatment ...
